A sculpture called Affetto nel dolore by Adolfo Wildt, created in 1929. This stands in front of the Korner family mausoleum in the Cimitero Monumentale (Monumental Cemetery) in Milan, Italy. It appears from the artist’s other works that the “empty eyes” were just his style.
